“Greater Love Has No One Than This, That Someone Lays Down His Life For His Friends.” John 15:13

A question for all of our friends and readers:

Would you adopt a child if it meant that a mama that didn’t want her child and was considering having the child killed via abortion, would spare the child?

I’m pretty sure my wifey and I would. We would have lots to talk through but I don’t think we could say no in that kind of a situation. We love children. We love our daughter, we are so glad she’s alive, she enhances our lives more than we can say, how could we turn away another little meeper (that’s what we call her) that needs a home? Laying down our lives to care for her has been challenging at times, but then, we have never had so much joy in life either.

What about you? Would you lay down your life this way?

I like the way the text continues, Jesus says: “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit…”  John 15:16

I think this might be one of the most critical questions facing Christians today, will we give our lives away to spare the lives of the little ones who are on trial for being alive?

I’d love to hear your response. Please drop a comment.

    Seth,

Just reading this today. Great question…definately a thought-provoking one. I always think of “laying down my life” only as dying for someone when I hear this verse. But what you are asking is laying down the life we have planned. Would I be willing to give up comfort, more money, time, etc to save an unborn child. I think so. By God’s grace. Thanks for your work on their behalf!
